As a British citizen born and raised in the UK I am dissapointed to see a ban being imposed on Dr Zakir Naik without due dligence being undertaken. This ban has stemmed from a quote whch has been taken out of context and mis-interpreted. Therefore, it would be justice for the democratic process of the UK and the values that it stands for to either 1. to interview Dr Zakir Naik or 2. to put forward a full report on why he has been banned with accompanied inequivocal evidence that he promotes terrorism in the western idealogy of attacking non muslim countries.

I hope that the relevant authorities would allow Dr Zakir Naik to give a simple talk, just as they have given many other religious scholars the opportunity to do so. Opposed to what they imply, Dr Naik definitely does not promote terrorism but is against it totally. He simply is giving talks to clear doubts that people may have about Islam, and does it in a peaceful manner, if they watch and listen to his talks fully and not just take parts that fabricate the truth of what he really is saying and portray him in a bad manner. Dr.Zakir naik one of the best and the most truthful person i have ever seen. Really disappointed with the decision of UK government for banning Dr.Zakir who is a very well known peace promoter. I would request the government to take this ban off and let Dr.Zakir continue the peace mission whcih is good for the people of their own country but they do not understand.

I am writing to inform you that I believe the decision taken by the Secretary of State for the Home Department to exclude eminent Islamic scholar, Dr Zakir Naik, from entering the United Kingdom is extremely disappointing and very disturbing.
Prime Minister, Dr Zakir Naik is renowned worldwide and in the United Kingdom for his excellent work in the field of comparative religion, bringing together people from all the major faiths of the world on a common platform of peace and mutual understanding. He has done much work to promote the true message of Islam, dealing with misconceptions and fears whilst promoting tolerance towards all and making it clear that terrorism and violent extremism in the name of religion is not part of the faith of Islam.
It would be wholly inaccurate and simply wrong to suggest otherwise. Dr Zakir Naik is definitely not a “Preacher of Hate” nor is he a “Terror Backer”. These are ridiculous suggestions.
The decision by the Home Secretary to exclude Dr Zakir Naik from entering the United Kingdom goes against values we hold dearly in our country of social justice and freedom and it does nothing to promote integration and harmony between the diverse people of this land. It is particularly damaging in light of the thousands of people who had obtained tickets to hear Dr. Naik speak at the Peace Conference Tour in the United Kingdom.
I believe this decision is very damaging both at home and internationally and likely to alienate many people. I also believe this decision is based on inaccurate, misconstrued and misconceived ideas about what Dr Zakir Naik may have said in the past.
I therefore ask you to please re-consider.
Prime Minister, I would respectfully ask that this exclusion order against Dr Zakir Naik be withdrawn immediately. I would ask that we welcome Dr. Naik into our country and permit the Peace Conference Tour to continue. I would ask that we firmly hold onto our principles of freedom and social justice.

Spin doctors around Rt. Hon PM David Cameron can make a man a woman and a woman a man, which even the British parliament can't do- great skill.
I have listened to almost all his lectures and am of the opinion that he has mastery over comparative study of religions. His main aim is to highlight the common points in various faiths and they are many and bring people of different faiths closer with great understanding. People of different faiths come to participate in the discussions and question/answer sessions. These discourses are conducted in a very cool and friendly fashion.
I think the Hon. Prime Minister like any PM is extremely busy and wouldn't have time to go through the details of any case. Here comes the spin and they can make a beautiful mission look like ugly and vice versa.
It's a shame that people who create divides between communities can get away with it and people who strive to bring people closer after acquiring in depth knowledge are
apprehended on false pretexts and penalised.
This is a request to Hon. PM to take a bit of time to look into the details of the case and reverse the decision taken by the Home Seceretary |

A grave misfortune , a grave violation of democracy and freedom of expression and a pathetically narrow decision is infact this ban. Dr Zakir Naik, according to me doesnt speak of his own and what he likes. He puts forth the truth only.It is an utter shock why the UK govt. is finding the truth to be unpalatable. A person , who in all odds stands for the truth, condemning terrorism whichever form it takes is Banned! Banned for speaking the truth? What has happened to the senses of the world.? If the UK govt. is abandoning truth, what good can be expected in these tough times? The UK govt. should realize, that it is refusing the peace coming its way through the efforts of Dr Naik.Tomorrow it would have nobody but itself to blame and lament, but who knows, may be that would be too late. May good sense prevail upon UK govt so that they rethink and revoke their order and the world community should wake up , at least now. And most of all may ALLAH help all the muslims to spread the truth. aameen. |

The only reason I see why he is being excluded is because his beautiful speach will persuade many people to revert to islam. everything the media portrayed is OUT OF CONTEXT. I am not sad in any way. Dr Zakir Naik presents the message of Islam which by it's definition is a message of peace through the submission of ones will to Allah (SWT). If you want to harmonise communities and educate muslims and non muslims alike about the real Islam then Dr Zakir Naik should be permitted to this Country to speak. Is there a fear that by letting people like Dr Zakir Naik educate people on the real Islam will open up peoples eyes to the calculated demonisation of Islam and Muslims by the media and states in both this country and the USA? |

Very disappointed about the ban, Dr Zakir Naik is a role model who promotes peace and should be encouraged to continue his work. We hope that the ban will be lifted and Dr Zakir Naik welcomed again into the country. |
